CGVC Library Service Review & Strategic Planning

We are currently reviewing our library services and developing a strategic plan to ensure the Clare and Gilbert Valleys Council Library Service continues to meet the diverse and changing needs of our community into the future.

August 2022 update: The CGVC Library Service Review, and Strategic Plan 2022-27 are now available.

We have had a busy few months reviewing our library services and in consultation with our community and industry research the CGVC Library Review, and the CGVC Library Service Strategic Plan 2022-2027 have been developed to reflect the aspirations of our library services and needs of the CGVC community. The Plan was accepted by Council for public release at the Ordinary Meeting held on Monday 15 August 2022.

June 2022 update: Community survey results are in!

We recently surveyed our community to find out what they value about their library service and help shape the future direction of the CGVC Library Service. We would like to thank everyone who participated in our survey and shared their thoughts on our library services. Your feedback greatly assists in understanding how our community use the library, what we are doing well and areas where we can improve. Your valuable feedback will be used to guide the planning of your Library Service.

This feedback along with extensive industry research is being used to conduct a full review of our library services and develop a Library Strategic Plan to guide the planning of the CGVC Library Service into the future.

In coming months a draft of the Clare & Gilbert Valleys Council Library Service Strategic Plan 2022-2027 will be released for public consultation to ensure it reflects the needs and interests of our community.

April 2022 update: Community survey open from 4 April to 25 April 2022 - it's your library, have your say!

We are undertaking a review of the CGVC Library Service and all community members – library users and non-users - are encouraged to have their say. Complete our survey and tell us what you value about your local library to help shape their direction into the future.

A summary report of the CGVC Library Service Review will be available online and in CGVC libraries upon completion of the review in June 2022.
